We asked you to save the date of Friday, December 16 for a holiday fundraiser at the Southern Food and Beverage museum.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our host there, SoFaB’s founder and our vice president, Liz Williams, can’t host us there that evening. Therefore, we are holding a non-fundraising holiday get together from 6 to 8 pm on that same day — Friday, December 16 at (woman-owned) Rosedale Bar and Restaurant at 801 Rosedale Drive in New Orleans. This is a much more casual get-together, with each person purchasing his or her own drink or food. It’s a chance for us to meet and spend time together, no doubt to discuss interesting books as we often do.
We are postponing the fundraiser to Friday, March 10, during Women’s History Month, where Liz should be available to talk to us about cocktail culture in New Orleans, where we anticipate serving the hard liquor distilled by the triumphant lives of women distillers, eating delicious light fare, exploring SOFAB, and holding a silent auction with very cool prizes as a formal fundraiser.
