On Saturday, October 28 at 9 am, The Women’s National Book Association of New Orleans presented our first-ever panel at The Louisiana Book Festival in Baton Rouge.
On the Fifth Floor of the State Library , Capitol View Room, we presented a discussion entitled:
Supernatural Laundry: Louisiana Women Poets Engaged in Domestic Fabulism.
The discussion began with a brief interview with Stacy Balkun, a founding mother of contemporary domestic fabulism in the South, followed by readings by Pamela Ebel, Gina Ferrara, Melinda Palacio and Anne Babson.
The group mingled with notable state poets and authors, and also signed books under the Cavalier House Books tent.
